Nijmegen Tour

The Nijmegen production facility was the first manufacturing site to be set up by Hyster in Europe, and was opened in 1952.

At the beginning, the factory concentrated on the assembly of conventional IC-powered forklift trucks, but with the introduction of the first Hyster container handling equipment in 1959, the plant began to focus more and more on Big Trucks.

Today, the Nijmegen plant is the global centre for Big Trucks design, development & testing, and produces forklift trucks with lifting capacities from 8 tonnes, as well as empty and laden container handlers and reachstackers.
